We visited Oslo and then started the long journey back to Switzerland.

During the remaining two days until the return trip by ferry, we visited various museums in Oslo (Munch/ Technology/ Fram/...) and got to know the city a bit.

After the beautiful and warm days of sightseeing, where we even got sore muscles from all the walking, it rained on the ride from the campsite to the ferry, where we waited again in the rain for loading. Despite strong winds and intermittent rain, the crossing to Kiel was smooth. Arrived at 10:00 in Kiel, we spent the waiting time until the evening with other tour riders in the Kafi and the Pizzeria. During the exchange of experiences and the joint train ride to Hamburg, the time from the ferry arrival to the night train departure after 20:00 flew by.

In Hamburg Dammtor we got the tip from the station staff to cycle to Hamburg Altona, the starting station of the City Night Line, because there we would have more time to load.

So we rode the few kilometers through the city and in Altona we could comfortably and without stress load the tandem and trailer into the bike car of the night train.

On the return trip, we enjoyed the comfort of a 4-person compartment in the couchette car, where we slept much better than in the seating car on the outward journey.
