Last beautiful weekend we rode the tandem from Kandersteg down to the Aare valley.

In ideal, almost a little warm, cycling weather we drove to Münsingen to travel from there with the Lötschberger (an ideal train for tandem transport!) to Kandersteg.

From Kandersteg the Veloroute 64 started with a gradient of up to 18%. From Frutigen on, it was a constant up and down through the flatter part of the Kander valley.

Via Wimmis and Allmendingen we then reached Thun from where we followed route 8 through the Aare valley until almost home.

The nice thing about this tour was that we could ride of the just over 75km with very few exceptions always on bike paths and side roads.
